Legislative and Policy Advocacy - Lobbying
As a lobbyist, my role is to help you be successful by developing a legislative campaign plan designed to meet your key goals and objectives. It is my role to listen, provide information, and explain relevant political and legislative dynamics and key considerations you need to make informed decisions - knowing that success can mean many different things when dealing with government.
I approach my work in the legislative and policy arena as a conduit for your access to people and institutions with the power to change laws, policies and systems.
Empowering those who seek change to be articulate, strategic and informed advocates is essential as they are by far the most effective proponents and lobbyists for the change they seek.
Strategic Organizing
The most effective legislative advocacy efforts, in my experience, involve an organized, message driven and focused organizing strategy in the communities, workplaces, systems, infrastructures and environments where people who seek change live and work.
I will work with you to train, educate and guide your constituency and stakeholders to be effective and successful change agents.
Tools we can use include power mapping, member targetting by legislative district, leadership development, opposition research, stakeholder assessment, coalition building, development of relevant materials, timelines and more.
Event Planning
Throughout my tenure in both the non-profit and labor union sectors, I learned that events to fundraise, raise awareness, educate, train, build power or engage stakeholders can be a daunting task.
I have years of experience working in partnership to develop and implement successful, message driven events designed to meet your goals.
